My boyfriend doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life. He is always changing his mind about his future major or occupation. I mean, that’s natural. But its so hard to tell when he is serious because he says he is serious about all of them. That obviously isn’t the case.

After we watched Sherlock Holmes one time, he said he wanted to be a detective. He says he always wanted to. Just a thought. Now he is “seriously serious.”

He says he wants to be a journalist or publish a book, but he can’t spell a majority of common words and he has bad grammar.

He wants to be an entrepreneur, cause he was talking to some guy about it. He found it interesting.

He wants to be a musician. Play his guitar in a band and make it big. Preferably Japan.

He wants to be a mechanic. He wants to own his own auto-shop with his best friend. Just because.

He wants to be an artist because he thinks you don’t need to know anything about it. Just do. And as a person who is passionate about art, I highly disagree.

He wants to be a police officer. I’m not really sure why. Probably for justice. And a bit of influence from all the action movies he watches.

He wants to join the army. Because he doesn’t think he is a book person. And he lacks financial stability.

He tells me he wants to be a computer engineer, but he hates math.  He also said he wanted to be a graphics designer, a computer programmer, and other computer related stuff. The computer field for him seems more realistic to me because he took/takes classes for that kind of stuff and he has more experience in that category.

Ultimately, he tells me he just wants to do something that doesn’t require much brain power. A laid-back occupation with equally laid-back, chill people. But at the same time make a good amount of money. He is a lazy and, at times, irresponsible.

I honestly don’t really support him anymore with what he says he wants to do because I’ve come to stop believing him. The situation is kind of like the boy-who-cried-wolf. Plus, I want to have a future with him and marry him. But, I really don’t want a future with a guy who doesn’t know what he wants to do and is unsuccessful. I don’t want to be a sugar mama.

I’m a bad girlfriend for not supporting him, I know. But, please- this is just ridiculous.
